A 16-year-old Man with Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome Diagnosed by Intermittent Attack of Vomiting

16歳，男性．4カ月前より間欠的に激しい嘔吐を繰り返す一方で，発作間欠期には全くの無症状であった．その特徴的な臨床経過より周期性嘔吐症候群を鑑別疾患に考えた．発作時に血清ACTH（adrenocorticotropic hormone），ADH（antidiuretic hormone）値が高値を示すことから，周期性嘔吐症候群と診断し治療した．本疾患で成人診療科を受診することは比較的稀であると考えられていたが，認知度は上昇してきている．激しい嘔吐を繰り返す患者の鑑別疾患として，周期性嘔吐症候群を念頭に置くことは重要である．
